A Problem or an Opportunity

Pastor Elias Ozuna Sermon Notes 02-16-20
A Problem or an Opportunity

Main Point: Do you see a problem or an opportunity. Fear magnifies the problem. Faith sees an opportunity for victory.

Pastor’s Thoughts:
 The Key to prevailing over problems is to “KNOW” that your heavenly father is bigger than any problem. John 16:33.
 The Key to seeing a Problem as an Opportunity is to “KNOW” God Loves you and is with you. Psalm 48:1-3.

Romans 8:15. You are not a slave to fear, you are a child of God.
How do you know when you become a slave to a ‘Problem?’
 The problem controls your emotions for long periods of time.
 The problem controls your mood for long periods of time.
 The problem controls your joy for long periods of time.
 The problem controls your fear.

Do you see a problem or do you see an opportunity?
Numbers 13:17-33.
 The spies saw a problem in the land of Canaan. They had fear and fear will vanish your faith.
 Caleb saw an opportunity for victory. Where did Caleb get this idea that he could defeat giants and take the land?

In order to see an opportunity in every problem do the following:
 Focus on God’s size. The problem is small compared to God’s size
 Know God. Spend personal time in prayer in God’s presence.
 See yourself as an ambassador with power not a victim in fear. God sees you as his instrument of power.
 Speak the word of God. Proclaim the truth in God’s word.

Scriptures:
1 John 5:4. Everyone born of God overcomes the world.
1 Corinthians 15:55-58. God gives us victory so stand firm, therefore be strong always abounding in the work of the Lord.
