Time to believe in God’s Power:
Main Point: Time to believe in God’s Power regardless of what you see with your eyes. Believe with action.
Opening Scripture: Ephesians 1:15-23.
What is divine Power? When something happens that is believed to come from a supernatural deity
POWER TO SAVE:
Romans 1:16. The Gospel (that is Jesus Christ died for our sins) is the power of God unto salvation. Only God has the power to save.
POWER TO DEFEAT DARKNESS:
2 Timothy 1:7. Fear comes from darkness. God has not given us spirit of fear but of power, love, and sound mind.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5. We pull down strongholds only in the spiritual realm not in the physical/carnal.
Revelations 20:1-15. Jesus has the power to defeat darkness.
Jesus has full authority and power over all.
POWER TO INTERVENE:
Jeremiah 10:12-13. “But God made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding, he stretched out the heavens. When he speaks in the thunder, the heavens roar with rain. He causes the clouds to rise over the earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses.”
Psalm 147:4-5. God determines the number of stars
Numbers 22:21-31. God can make a donkey talk if needed.
What does the Bible say about God’s Power?
