In the Wilderness

Main Point: In the wilderness is a path for great victory. Be at peace God’s got this.

Psalm 119:105 God’s word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. -God always has the final say.

What I have learned about a wilderness experience

-The Wilderness is a place of refining and preparation as we walk with God in the midst of it all.

-The Wilderness is a place where you can take off the old and put on the new.

Wilderness lesson for Israel. Exodus 13:21-22

In the book of Exodus we read that the children of Israel were set free from slavery and they had to go thru the wilderness to learn how to trust God.

Pastor’s thoughts:

-As we experience a wilderness experience in our lives, be at peace and know that our heavenly father is ready and willing to guide us thru the wilderness of life.

-No matter how long you’ve been a believer, a wilderness journey is neither easy nor glamorous. It is not pretty. You will face trials and tests. You will face giants and opposition. Just as the enemy tempted Jesus in the wilderness, he wants to derail you from God’s plan.

James 1:2-6. Our nation may be going thru a wilderness experience but I know that in God’s word it is clear that a wilderness experience is just a temporary place that God will use for his mighty works. God is in control.

Scriptures about the power of God:

1 Corinthians 4:20. The Kingdom of God is not just words, it is shown by his power.

Job 42:2. For we know God can do all things and his purposes cannot be stopped.
