God's Power in Us

Main Point:

God is all powerful. The children of God have access to God’s power to live beyond our abilities.

God is all powerful:

* Isaiah 45:18-25. God is all Powerful. God is righteousness. God is justice.

* Colossians 1:16. God created all things. Both visible and invisible.

* Psalm 147:4-5. God understanding is beyond measure.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

* These scriptures clearly establish that our God is all powerful. So let your faith arise. God is in control.

We are instruments of spiritual power that breaks thru carnal darkness in Jesus name.

* 1 Peter 2:9. We are a chosen people to be instruments of God to proclaim God is excellent in all his ways.

* Acts 9:15. God chose Paul to be an instrument to proclaim the Gospel.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

* We see in scripture that God uses ordinary people as instruments to accomplish the work of his kingdom.

* God wants to use you and me as instruments to help people come out of darkness into the light of salvation.

We are destined to live beyond our abilities.

* Mathew 14:22-33. Jesus was able to empower Peter to function beyond his abilities.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

* What many Christians miss as part of their Christian journey is that they are destined to live beyond their abilities.

Final thought:

* Step out of the boat because that is where you will find God’s power strengthen you to live beyond your abilities.
