Spiritual Warfare: Prodigals
Main Point: The enemy wants Christians to stay inactive and lose hope on revival and the prodigals. God wants us to see what He sees and that is the hand of God interceding for us and our loved ones.
The enemy does not want Christians to recognize that there is a spiritual battle for souls all around us.
Let’s review 3 things the enemy wants:
1. The enemy prefers we stay inactive in spiritual warfare. (Luke warm)
2. The enemy prefers we don’t see revival or see God heal the land.
3. The enemy prefers we give up on the prodigals
The enemy prefers we stay inactive in spiritual warfare. (Luke warm)
God’s people who are active in spiritual warfare through prayer and fasting and true praise and worship, they are the ones that the enemy fears because when the Holy Spirit fills us we are empowered to defeat the enemy.
The enemy prefers we don’t see revival or see God heal the land.
2 Chronicles 7:14. God’s people need to turn to God away from our sinful carnal nature. This brings healing to the culture and to the land.
Our country needs a healing and this will come when God’s people truly turn and surrender to God.
What does it mean to heal our land?
Our land is hurting and in deep need of God’s divine healing. Appropriately, this admonition from God addresses the critical fact that the sin and wickedness in our life as a nation has direct — and disastrous — effects on our health as a nation and as a global community.
The enemy prefers we give up on the prodigals
Matthew 18:12. God promises to pursue us because He loves us.
Luke 15:11-32. The father celebrated the return of the prodigal. Prodigal story
Pray for the prodigals. That they return to their first love in Jesus
Pastor’s Thoughts:
I believe that one of the signs that revival, a move of God is happening is the return of the prodigals
When the prodigals return do not judge them but love them and celebrate them as scripture story shows.
I believe God is on the move and you will begin to see many prodigals return to God
But this time with a passion to surrender all for the cause of Kingdom of God
