Glory Days

Main Point: If we truly want to see King Jesus praised, it is time for the church to begin living in the glory days. The days of glorifying God with our lives, our worship, and going further to experience His Glory.

Definitions of Glory

noun- high honor won by notable achievements; magnificence, great beauty; a special cause for pride, respect, or delight.

verb- to take pride or pleasure in; praise, worship, and thanksgiving offered to a deity.

Live your days glorifying God with your life.

Walk in obedience (2 Tim. 3:16-17, Ephesians 5:26)

Be transformed (2 Cor. 3:18, Romans 12:2,1 Cor. 10:31)

Love and serve others (Luke 10:27, Eph. 3:16)

Put your faith into action (Luke 5:18-20, John 14:12)

Live your days glorifying God with your worship.

Start with surrender (James 4:7-8, Proverbs 23:26)

Bring a sacrifice (Romans 12:1, Hebrews 13:15)

Keep your focus on Him (Hebrews 12:2)

Worship in every season and circumstance (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Bring your overflow to church on Sunday (John 10:10, Romans 15:13)

Live your days pressing further into His Glory.

Look for the Glory (Acts 7:55, Exodus 13:21-22, Exodus 24:17)

Pray for the Glory (Exodus 33:18, Acts 2:1-4, John 11:40)

Prepare for the Glory (Psalms 24:7-10)

Walk in the Glory (Acts 2:43-47)

Remember

Glorifying God with your life is a lifelong process.

Glorifying God with our worship should be something that grows and deepens daily.

We have the authority through Jesus to experience God’s Glory here on earth.

Things to reflect on at home:

What ways am I glorying God with my life right now?

How has my worship grown and deepened over time?

Do I bring an overflow to church on Sunday’s?

What can I change to glorify God better with my life?

How can I change my attitude about worship to glorify God more?

Do I seek and welcome God’s Glory in my life?

Can we pray this every day?!

I’m sure if we pray for God’s glory every day, we will see revival!

John 11:40

"Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?”

Jesus is not a liar, so WE WILL see His Glory!

We also need to live our days preparing for His Glory.

Psalms 24:7-10

7 "Lift up your heads, you gates;

be lifted up, you ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

8 Who is this King of glory?

  The Lord strong and mighty,

  the Lord mighty in battle.

9 Lift up your heads, you gates;

lift them up, you ancient doors,

that the King of glory may come in.

10 Who is he, this King of glory?

  The Lord Almighty—

he is the King of glory."

We need to lift our heads to heaven, open up the doors of our hearts, our hands, our minds, and prepare to allow the King of Glory to come in.

When we glorify God with our lives, and in our worship, we can live our days walking in His Glory.

Going back to the day of Pentecost

Acts 2:43-47

43 "Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. 46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved."

We need to walk in the glory days just as the disciples did, performing wonders through the power and authority given through Jesus Christ. If he said we would do even greater things, what is keeping you from walking in the same glory?!

As we leave here today, remember glorifying God with your life is a lifelong process. glorifying God with our worship should be something that grows and deepens daily, and we have the authority through Jesus to experience God’s Glory here on earth.

Let’s pray

Heavenly Father, we come before you asking you to open our eyes to Your Glory. Let us see you in everything. Let our praise well up inside of us, as we bring to remembrance all that you’ve done for us and delivered us from. From the moment that we rise in the morning, to the moment that we lay our heads to sleep, help us to live lives that glorify you, help us to glorify you with our worship, and allow us to see and feel the weight of your glory. Let us feel the weight of your glory so strongly that we are floored and humbled by it. Let us marvel in your beauty, let us be empowered by Your spirit, let us thirst for more of you, and to reach others for you. Help us to understand what it means to give you glory, and to live in Your Glory. Help us long for the things of heaven here on earth and break down the fleshly walls we’ve built up that cause us to be uncomfortable, offended, and distracted, instead of focused on you. We want to see revival, we want to see you praised, we want to experience the miraculous, and to see you receive all the Glory. Help us Lord even in this moment as we close in worship, to glorify you more than we ever have before. In Jesus Name we pay, Amen.
