Choose A Path
Main Point: Be wise and make sure you have chosen the path that leads to your Godly destiny.
Choose the path of Obedience
Genesis 12:1-7. Abram obeys God and moves from his father’s land to the land God had prepared for him.
Life lesson: The path of obedience does not look at the circumstances surrounding you but instead submits to the promises and guidance of God. It does not rely on our own strength and understanding but focuses on God and His abundant provisions. When we follow the call of God and submit to His plan, it not only affects us but also allows the blessing to flow over to those around us and our legacy.
Don’t choose the path of Disobedience
Genesis 13:1-13. Lot wasn’t asking God for guidance when Abram gave him a choice of land. He just decided to take land that looked to prosper him.
Life lesson: James 4:13-17. Knowing to seek God’s will for guidance and not seeking it is sin.
We have all had our moments of disobedience but the good news is that we serve a merciful God. We serve a God of redemption.
Choose the path of redemption
Ruth 1:15-16. Ruth decided to stay with Naomi, her mother-in-law after her husband had died.
And because Ruth obeyed God’s leading she was redeemed. No longer under the curse of Lot’s disobedience but now under the blessing of Abraham. As a matter of fact, Ruth became a descendant of King David and then Jesus Christ because of her obedience.
