Time to Believe- In God’s Mercy

Oct 7, 2018    Elias Ozuna

Main Point: Be appreciative and grateful for God’s mercy and give mercy to others so great mercy will be on you.

Opening Scripture: John 8:1-11

Grace is receiving something good when we do not deserve it.

Mercy is when you do not get punished when you rightly deserve it.

What does the bible say about Mercy?

Ephesians 2:4-5. God is rich in Mercy

James 5:11. The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.

Luke 6:36. Be Merciful just as your father is Merciful

Titus 3:5. God saved us from eternal death because of his great mercy, not because we deserve it.

Two main points about mercy from the scriptures:

God is a good God and his mercy is amazing

Give out mercy to others so great mercy will be on you (Matt:5:7)

God’s biblical principle is that when we show others mercy and forgiveness and grace and love you will be abundantly blessed. IT WORKS!

Time to believe in Mercy by:

1. Taking action to show your appreciation and gratitude about God’s great mercy toward you.

2. Taking action and giving others mercy so you will receive mercy.
