Time to Believe-In God’s Plan for You

Main Point: God wants you to do great things within his perfect Plan for You.

2 Kings 14:23-25. During King Jeroboam’s reign, Jonah prophesied and spoke the word of the Lord and Israel regained their coastland of Israel.

Jonah’s plans and God’s plans were lined up nicely. But one day God’s plan and Jonah’s plan no longer seemed to line up nicely. Jonah preferred the comforts of home. God wanted to see sinners transformed.

Jonah rejects God’s Plan for his life.

Jonah 1: 1-17. Jonah runs away from God’s plan. Why do people run away from God’s Plan?

Jonah 2:10. God hears Jonah’s prayer and delivers him out of trouble

Jonah 3: 1-4. God doesn’t change his plan but Jonah did. That was wise.

Jonah 3:5. Nineveh repents. That was wise.

Jonah 4:4-11. God’s cares for sinners like Jonah cared for the gourd.

It’s time to believe in God’s plan for you.

Don’t try to convince God your plan is better than his plan. You will end up in the belly of the whale - TROUBLE

What does the bible say about God’s plans for you?

-Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”).

-Ephesians 1:4-12. God put tremendous thought into the plans he has for you.

-1 Corinthians 2:9. His plan is so much better anyway. We just have to trust it.

-Isaiah 55:8. Bible is clear that God’s ways are better than our ways.

-Proverbs 3:5-6. Trust in God’s plan, not in your understanding. He will direct your path.

-Ephesians 3:20. God wants to do abundantly above ALL that we could ever ask or think.

Surrender and Trust God’s plan for your life.

Don’t ask God to surrender to your plans or ask God to rubberstamp your plans

It’s time to believe in God’s plan for You.
