God of Order- Time to Grow Part 2

Feb 24, 2019

In Hebrews 6:1 the word of God instructs us to grow beyond basics.

In 1 Corinthians 8:1-13 we learned how eating food offered to idols isn’t necessarily a sin, unless we cause someone to stumble.

Main Point: Spiritual Maturity understands that God is a God of Order.

Foundation Scriptures Acts 22:29-30: Acts 23:1-11

-the high priest ordered Paul be beaten. Paul lost his temper and cursed the high priest but once Paul realized that he was the high priest he apologized.

Why? God is a God of Order.

-You let God take care of justice

Romans 12:19. Vengeance is mine says the Lord.

God of Order biblical principle: If we don’t follow this biblical principle, you will have chaos.

In the New Testament, God’s word is also clear about this topic.

Romans 13:1-7. God instructs us to be subject to those in authority.

1 Peter 2:13-17. It is the will of God that we submit to every ordinance of man.

The exemption: Acts 5:23-32.

There is an exemption to this biblical principle and it is when those in authority ask you to break God’s moral laws, like 10 commandments or to stop sharing God’s Love to others.

God is a God of order. We need more spiritual maturity in the church and in our children.
