We Need A Move: Part 3- Righteousness

Sep 22, 2019    Elias Ozuna

Main Point: We need a move of God. Desire the righteousness of God to prevail in your life.

Nehemiah 1:1-11.  Once Nehemiah understood a move of God was needed in Jerusalem he repented and he burned with a desire for the righteousness of God.

Pastors thoughts:

**A desire for righteousness is different from being righteous. We in our carnal strength can never be righteous or right standing before God. The bible is clear in Isaiah 64:6 that our own carnal righteousness is as a filthy rag. The good news is that we can stand righteous before God because we will not stand before God with our righteousness but we will stand before God clothed in the righteousness of Jesus as stated in 2 Corinthians 5:21.

**The result of our free will choice to claim Jesus as Lord and Savior should result in a heart that desires righteousness to prevail in the world, in the nation, in the community, in the church, in our family, and in our lives.

**Two common themes in the history of revivals is:

1. Repentance

2. Desire for Righteousness to prevail.

Scriptures on Righteousness:

Mathew 6:33. Seek God and his righteousness and victory is ahead.

Matthew 5:6. Blessed are those that hunger and thirst after righteousness. They will be filled.

Romans 14:17. The Kingdom of God is not eating or drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

Isaiah 42:6. God has called his people to righteousness, so we can be a light to the Nations.

We are God’s ambassadors for righteousness.

When we have a desire for Righteousness, God will use us as a light for the world. We will become the instruments of a move of God.
