Two is Better than One
Main Point: God desires Laborers for His Kingdom. Two is better than one.
When it comes to sowing seed for a harvest, the more laborers working the better.
Scriptures:
Mathew 9:35-38.
Jesus looked out at the harvest and understood that the harvest needed Laborers to show people the way to righteousness. God uses people for his Kingdom purposes.
Mathew 20:1-16. Wisdom in this Parable.
1. Don’t compare yourself to others (Like saying I deserve more because I have been working harder for God’s Kingdom). God is just in all things.
2. God wants as many people as possible to work in his vineyard because the Laborers are few.
Exodus 18:1-27.
Moses was a one man show. Jethro could see that his method of serving the people was too much for one person to bear.
Moses had to pick leaders that did not have personal agendas like:
Popularity, Power, fame, wealth ambitions,
Romans 12:4-5. “For just as we have many members in one body and all the members do not have the same function, so we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another”.
Leviticus 26:8. More is better to defeat darkness. Two is better than one.
Psalm 133:1. Unity is good and pleasant.
