Don’t Lose Your Passion pt2.

Main Point: Be aware that keeping a strong passion for God requires commitment to put God first.
Definition of Passion: Any powerful or compelling emotion or feeling for something.

Exodus 20: 1-3. It is clear in scripture that God wants our #1 passion to be for him.

Know your weaknesses:
Romans 3:23. All have sinned and fallen short.
Romans 8:7. Our carnal mind is against God.

Know your strength:
The good news is that Jesus rose from the dead and conquered sin, death and the grave and as Christians we are empowered by the Holy Spirit to overcome s_____ and darkness in our lives. AMEN

Adam and Eve lost focus of their #1 passion:
Genesis 2:21-25; 3:1-13.
-No doubt that Adam and Eve loved God had were passionate about their relationship with God.
-Adam and Eve took their eyes off their relationship with God for a moment and their #1 passion shifted to what was in front of them.

Lesson Learned: Stay focused and committed to putting God first in your life and not letting the things of this world or circumstance in your life ever change the order of your passion.

Commitment to Passion for God:
Proverbs 16:3. Commit to the Lord and he will establish your plans
2 Timothy 2:15. Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved.
Galatians 6:9. Do not get weary in doing what is right. Rewards are coming.
