Get Ready for Impact pt3. Determined Heart

Main Point: People who have determined hearts will see God’s hand move and they will impact people for God’s Kingdom. So get ready for impact.

Galatians 6:9. Do not get w_____ in well doing. Be determined to press on. Be determined to draw close to God.

The principle of ‘making an impact for God’s Kingdom’ is not about how well you have things together emotionally or mentally or physically. It is about being determined to draw closer to God.

Foundational Scriptures:
Genesis 26: 29-34. Jacob steals Esau’s birthright.
Genesis 27: 30-41. Jacob deceives his father Isaac for Esau’s blessing. Esau vows to kill his brother.
Genesis 32: 9-11. Jacob has matured and is determined to set things right with his brother.
Genesis 33: 1-4. Esau forgives and the brothers are reconciled.

Your family did not invent the word dysfunctional. Dysfunctional people and families started in the book of Genesis.

Lesson Learned: Thru all this dysfunction, God was still working out his perfect plan in Jacob. So don’t ever feel that your situation is not ideal for God to use you. God only needs a determined heart to use you to impact others. Jacob started off immature but grow in maturity and spiritually and God used him to fulfill his perfect plan.

Get Ready for Impact by having a determined heart.
