Arise into your Destiny-Never Alone
God’s Word is truth. God cares and we are not Alone
- Romans 8:37. We are more than conquerors.
- 1 John 4:4. Greater is he that is in me than he that is in the world.
- Philippians 4:13. I can do all things thru Christ who strengthens me.
- 2 Timothy 1:7. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power
Main Point: You are not alone. If you have a relationship with God and your name is written in the lambs book of life you have everything you need for your life on earth. You are not alone
Foundation Scripture: 1 Kings 19.10. Elijah was feeling very alone. He thought he was the only one left trying to do good in God’s eyes.
The amazing story of Elijah: Pick up the story in 1 Kings 17:1.
- 1 Kings 17:1. Elijah prophesies a 3 year drought.
- 1 Kings 17:2-7. Elijah experiences God supernatural powers (He was fed by birds-during the drought)
- 1 Kings 17:8-16. Once he brook dried up he moved on. Elijah is used by God to save the widow of Zarephath.
- 1 Kings 17:17-24. Elijah is used to raise the widow’s son from the dead.
- 1 Kings 18:20-40. Elijah gets bold and challenges to prophets of Baal.
- 1 Kings 18:41-46. Elijah prays for rain to end the drought and once he sees the small cloud he announces the drought is over.
The ‘not so amazing’ story of Elijah:
- 1 Kings 19:1-4. Elijah runs scared of Jezebel.
- 1 Kings19:5-7. God is with Elijah. Elijah is not alone thou he feels alone.
- 1 Kings 19:10. Elijah still feels all alone.
God is with Elijah:
- 1 Kings 19:11-18. Elijah is assured by God he is not alone.
Pastor’s Thought: No matter what you have done in your life whether great things for the Lord or small things, the enemy always tries to discourage the saints. Elijah was discouraged. But let your faith arise because God is good and he cares for you. You are not alone.
