Sermon Notes:

Main Point:  In 2024 we will advance totally dependent on Jesus.  Like Moses we don’t want to take another step if God is not with us.  We will trust and let our faith arise that our God will turn it around.  Let’s Advance.

• Let us not be dependent on our own understanding and our own abilities
  • Not every good idea is Gods’ idea.
• Lord, we want to know you.
• Lord, we want to be close to you.
  • So, we can have clarity on your will for our lives.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

• Not another step without you Lord.  Lord let us see clearly that we can’t take anything with us.  You are all we need.
• Advance, Totally Dependent on Jesus.  Trust and let your faith arise that He will turn it around.

He will turn it around:

• Acts 12:5-17.  Sometimes God turns it around quickly
  • While the followers of Jesus were still praying the answer came.

• John 11:21-44. Sometimes God turns it around later than we would like (story of Lazarus)
  • v25.  Jesus is the resurrection and the life
    • Jesus is never late (He is never late with your prayers as well)
  • v39.  Martha states what she sees in the carnal
    • Jesus is not limited to what we see or think is possible.
  • v41.  Jesus already knew Lazarus was alive
  • v42.  Jesus wanted to make sure the people saw the Glory of God through the Messiah

Pastor’s Thoughts:

• These scriptures we just read all confirm that we serve a God that will turn it around for His People
• In 2024, we will advance, totally dependent on Jesus.
• God hears your prayer request for your 
  • unsaved loves ones
  • healing
  • financial miracle
• God will turn it around.  It is done.  Trust that his ways are better than ours.

• What we need to keep constant in our hearts is to pray and trust Jesus until our last breath.
  • Our faith is not dependent on what we see with our eyes
  • Our faith is dependent on God’s truth in His Word.

Summary:

• We are all on this journey of faith and trust.  God will turn it around.
• The more we know God, the more we can see the victory ahead
• The key to knowing God personally is to find and protect your secret place with God (when you and God are alone)

Psalm 91:1. Psalm 91:11.  God sends his angels to those who have a secret place
