Advance Without Fear:10:

Main Point:  We are called to advance the Kingdom of God without Fear.

Why should we not be afraid even in the storm?
  • First of all, your name is written in the lamb’s book of life.
    • We are redeemed by the blood of Jesus for all eternity.  No Need to Fear.
  • Secondly, God directly instructs us in scripture not to be afraid:
    • Isaiah 41:10: God is with us; God will hold us up with his righteous right hand.
    • Romans 8:38-39.  Nothing can separate us from God’s love.
      • There is nothing the enemy can do.
      • The enemy was defeated at the cross.
    • John 14:27. Jesus offers peace so do not worry or be afraid.
    • 2 Timothy 1:7. God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.

Pastor’s Thoughts:
  • Fear comes when:
    • You are outside of God’s will.
    • You allow your carnal to dominate your mind
  • Fear is not of God
  • Fear is what the enemy uses to stop you from advancing God’s Kingdom.
  • 1 John 4:18. There is no fear in love, therefore God does not bring fear because God is love.

What does it mean to advance God’s Kingdom?
  • In the most simplistic way:
  • You advance God’s Kingdom by being an instrument of God’s love so the world can experience God’s love through you.
  • Are you an instrument of God’s Love?  Then you are advancing the Kingdom.

Pastor’s Thoughts:
  • Sometimes the road is clear as we advance
  • Sometimes the road is in the war zone as we advance
  • But regardless of the circumstances we are called to advance the Kingdom in Love.
    • Do not fear, if God is for you who can be against you (Romans 8:31)

God is with you and at work for you to advance God’s Kingdom
  • Genesis 22:1-18.
    • Abraham obeyed God without fear because he trusted God had a good plan for him and his son.
      • Trust God.  God is good and has good plans for you
    • God orchestrated the ram many days in advance so Abraham would sacrifice it instead of his son
      • God loves you and is orchestrating what you need to be available to you when you need it.
  • Faith pleases God and Abraham was rewarded for his great faith. God is good.
    • Trust God in all things and let your faith arise.
      • Faith please God.

Conclusion:
  • We are called to advance the Kingdom of God without Fear.
  • Be free from fear and trust God in all things.
  • Focus on the most important priority.  Know Jesus in the secret place and you will be an instrument of love advancing God’s Kingdom.
  • God is at work preparing a ‘ram stuck in the thicket’ just for you.
