God is at Work to Save His People

Main Point:  God is in control and is at work to save as many people as possible from the deception of the enemy.  God uses flawed people to advance his Kingdom and to bring salvation to all who humble their hearts unto the Lord.
 
Foundation scripture: Esther 4:8-17; 5:1-5; 7:1-10.  God used Esther to save his people.

Current Event Update:

• Celebration of Purim
• This week, the Jews celebrated Queen Esther’s story.  The celebration is called ‘Purim’
• Purim celebrates Esther and Mordecai for stopping Hemans’s plan to exterminate the Jews.

• Esther was queen of Persia (current day Iran) from 460-480 BC
  • King Cyrus founded Persia in 550 BC.
• King Cyrus helped the Jews rebuild their temple with funding and laws.
• Could the current war in Iran bring result in peace in the middle east setting the stage for Prophecy stated in Ezekiel 38:10-23, where Israel will be feeling secure and at peace before this war.
  • Many scholars believe the Ezekiel 38 war occurs shortly before the 7 year tribulation.

• Determine in your heart that you will respond with yes and AMEN to the call of God in your life
• God has a task for you.  Will you sacrifice to do the task?

Isaiah responded:  Her I’m I send me

• Isaiah 6:1-8.  God uses flawed people with a heart for His will to be done.

• The sacrifice for those who say yes to the task/will of God:
  • Begins with prayer in your secret place
  • Looks like true worship revealing a genuine heart
  • Looks like giving and serving others
