Spiritual Significance of Charlie Kirks' Assassination

Main Point:  The seeds of Revival have been planted.  The turning point is at hand.  It’s time to take action to enhance the Kingdom of God.  Revival is in sight.

• Today we are bringing current events into the church because we are in a moment of Spiritual significance.
• This assassination has triggered a spiritual earthquake.  So much that the culture of the U.S.A is feeling it.

Charlie Kirk was a political activist who happened to be a powerful instrument for God’s Kingdom. 

• Video of Charlie teaching Jesus and proclaiming Jesus and his faith are the most important things. (Bennie Johnson video 2.58 seconds)
• Charlie Kirk used his abilities and loved others in Jesus’ name through conversation.
  • He did this without a title of Pastor or leader in the church
  • He did this in the profession of political activism
    • politics would seem to be worse way to glorify Jesus.  But God confounds the wise.

• In the 1970’s over 78% of U.S. Citizens identified as Christians
• In the 1990’2 percentage dropped to 68%
• In the 2010’s percentage dropped to 58%
  • At this rate Christianity was going to drop under 50% of US citizens.

But God

• From a Gallup Poll conducted in 2024 the findings showed that:  Gen Z teens are twice as likely to identify as more conservative than their parents than millennials were 20 years ago, according to a Gallup and Walton Family Foundation study conducted last fall.
• God was using Charlie Kirk to set the foundation for revival beginning with Gen Z.
• Our Gen Z youth are standing up boldly for Jesus, not in church but in the public square.  Yes, even in politics.

• Thousands of Videos have surfaced of People saying they are going to church because of Charlie’s death.
• People couldn’t even explain why they are feeling the urge to buy a bible for the first time or go to church but they did.
  • Souls hungry for goodness cried out because they saw evil was so real.

Spiritual Significance:
Acts 6:9-13.  Stephen speaks with great wisdom
Acts 7:54-60.  Stephen is martyred for speaking truth

• Stephen was not a Pastor or Apostle or Teacher.  He was a great debater full of wisdom empowered by the Holy Spirit and he was martyred because he spoke truth.
• Charlie Kirk was assassinated for speaking truth.  Truth has a name.  And his name is Jesus.

• Truth has a name and his name is Jesus Christ
  • I believe Charlie Kirk was killed by evil trying to stop the spreading of the Gospel because he was so effective.
  • For this reason, I believe in my spirit we are witnessing a modern-day martyr for Jesus Christ.

• Charlie Kirk was an ambassador for Jesus Christ speaking truth under the umbrella of politics and debate.
• The reaction to Charlie Kirks death around the world that has drawn people to buy bibles and go to church is evidence of a true martyr.
• Charlie Kirk a Martyr for truth.  And truth has a name.  His name is Jesus Christ.

Turning Point

• Like the Martyrdom of Stephen, we are at a moment of Holy Spirit empowered boldness to bring Jesus back into our culture in the U.S.
• We are at a Turning Point
• It’s time for God’s people to stand boldly for truth in love.

• It’s time to protect our secret place with God.  Revival is in sight.
• It’s time for true Worship.  Revival is in sight.
• It’s time to love and serve.  Revival is in sight.
• Its time to take action.  Revival is in sight.

Conclusion:

• Charlie Kirks favorite scripture is ‘All things work together for good for those who are in Christ Jesus’. 
• This act of evil against a good man who loves Jesus will not end well for the enemy.  Revival is in sight.
