Christmas Series - Part 3 - Divine Confirmation

Main Point:  Our God is a God of divine confirmation.  God’s people have access to divine intervention and divine confirmation.  God will lead his people into their Holy Calling by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

  • Be intentional about being led by the Holy Spirit into your Holy Calling.  2 Timothy 1:9
  • Ask God to search your heart and remove your desires and replace it with God’s desires for your life.
  • If you are busy with your will and your desires you will miss the divine confirmation that comes from being led by God’s Spirit.

Old Testament Example of Divine Confirmation
Exodus 3:1-22.
Exodus: 4:1-17.

  • Moses heard the call at the burning bush
  • Moses was looking for an excuse to avoid leading for God’s Kingdom (Fear keeps us from experiencing the Supernatural and Glory of God).
  • When God is leading you into your holy calling.
    • God will provide all you need to accomplish your holy calling.
      • Moses didn’t think he could speak and lead the people but God did.
      • It doesn’t matter if we think we have a holy calling. If God has destined it, then you can
  • At the Red Sea, the children of Egypt witnessed God confirming to Moses that God was right at the burning bush
  • At the Red Sea, Moses spoke the word of God directly to the people.  Exodus 14:13-14.

Pastor’s Thoughts:
  • Know this along your journey in Christ, you will receive divine confirmation that you are where God wants you to be.  Despite your imperfections.  Just keep trusting and seeking more of God.
    • In the Secret Place
    • At church
    • When you gather your family to pray
    • When you listen to worship music at home, in the car etc…

Christmas example of Divine Confirmation

Matthew 2:11-15.  The Wise men were instruments God used to bring divine confirmation to Mary and Joseph
Luke 2:8-19.  The shepherds were the instruments God used to bring divine confirmation to Mary and Joseph.
  • God confirmed to Mary and Joseph (also Ana and Simeon) that Jesus was the Messiah that would bring salvation to mankind.

Pastor’s Thoughts:

  • When we are in the presence of the Lord it is easy to believe the amazing things God reveals to us.
    • But as we live life every day in this natural world, we can begin to doubt.
    • But God’s people, will from time to time, receive divine confirmation and are encouraged
    • Look out for God’s divine confirmation.
  • Keep seeking God’s will for you life and you will experience, divine confirmation.
