The Holy Trinity

Matthew 28:19-20.
God the father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit
                       
1 John 5:5-9.  They are three in one.

• V5.  Jesus Christ is the Son of God and those who believe will overcome the world (death).
• V6.  The Holy Spirit bears witness that Jesus is the Son of God.  The Holy Spirit is truth.
• V7.  Three bear record in heaven, the father, the word (son-Jesus, John 1:14), and the Holy Spirit.
  • And these 3 are 1.  Holy Trinity.
• V8.  The Holy Trinity always agrees.  They agree as one.
• V9.  God the father announced to all that Jesus is His beloved Son.

Matthew 3: 13-17. Holy Spirit descends and God the father says this is my son in whom I am well pleased.

• Remarkable moment in history.  The father, son, and Holy Spirit all mentioned in this moment in history
• Jesus did not get baptized for remission of sin, but to fulfill righteousness.

               
Jesus is divine and by knowing him we know the father
John 14:7. Jesus says if you know him you know the father

The Holy Spirit:
John 16:5-16. 

• V7. Holy Spirit is our comforter
• V8. Holy Spirit convicts the world of sin
• V13.  Holy Spirit is truth and guides Christians into all truth
• V13.  Holy Spirit will not speak of himself but speak of Jesus
• V14.  The Holy Spirit shall Glorify the name of Jesus and show Christians His Glory

Pastor’s Thoughts:

• The Holy Spirit is the "Spirit of God," meaning it is a manifestation of God himself,
• The Holy Spirit is the third person of the Holy Trinity; alongside the Father and Son;
• Therefore, the Holy Spirit is fully God, co-equal is co-eternal with the other two divine persons.
• The Holy Ghost is sometimes referred to as the Spirit, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God, the Spirit of the Lord, or the Comforter.

King Jesus will be praised-Holy Forever
2 Corinthians 4:6. It is through Jesus that we can understand who God is and all his Glory

• God, who created light from darkness in the beginning, has spiritually illuminated the hearts of believers with the understanding of God's glory through Jesus Christ,
• Essentially revealing the truth of God's character through Jesus;

 
John 12:32. 

• When Jesus is lifted up and Glorified, the presence of God’s love thru the Holy Spirit brings people to Salvation and transformation.
• King Jesus will be praised at HCC.
