God wants to use You: To accomplish his Purposes

Main Point:  God has a purpose for our lives and desires to use us to accomplish his purposes, for our good and his glory.  There are things that may be holding us back from fulfilling his plan for our lives. We have to be willing to let go of those things so that we can be used by God for his glory.

Opening Scripture:  Psalm 91: 1-2 NKJV.  God wants us to trust him and find a secret place so he can speak to us. He desires to have a deep personal relationship with us. God wants to protect us and use us in this day and hour for his kingdom purposes.

There is a calling on your life!

Exodus 3:1-4 NKJV. Moses leads his flock to the back of the desert. God gets Moses to a secret place and uses a burning bush to get his attention, so Moses can hear his voice and respond to his call.

  • We need to get in a place and a position so God can make known his plans. He wants to accomplish his purposes through our lives. We have to hear his voice and respond like Moses “Here I am Lord.
    • Unless we have a deep personal relationship with him and get into his word we won’t be able to hear his voice and respond

Exodus 3:10-14 NKJV. God and Moses have a conversation. He speaks to Moses and reveals the plans that he has for Moses to accomplish. But Moses questions God. Then God reassures Moses with a Promise.

  • Moses insecurity and fear caused him to ask God to reveal who he was and God responded by telling Moses his name.
    • It’s okay to have questions for God, but we must remember God is holy and we must be obedient to his instructions and his Word.

Exodus 4:1-4 NKJV. God shows Moses that he can trust him by having Moses throw down his rod and let go of the very thing he relied on. Moses was shown God’s miraculous power by God turning Moses rod into a serpent. Then he turned it back again into a rod, because Moses was obedient to God’s Instruction.

  • God is wanting us to let go of the things that we are holding on to. The very things that are preventing us from serving him completely.
    • God wants us to realize that we cannot serve him and accomplish his purposes for our life through our own strength. We are to trust him completely.

Summary:
  • We must develop a deep personal relationship with our holy God. It is vital for us to make time to read his Word and be in earnest prayer. We must find that secret place where we can have conversation with the Almighty and find his purpose for our life.
    • We must trust in God and his word completely, believe in His promises and know that there is a calling on our life.  You have a God given purpose to fulfill for his kingdom, for your good and for his glory. God Wants To Use You!
