Trust: Plant and Water - Part 2

Main Point:  Focus on what you can control.  Plant and Water and Trust God for the miracles.

Foundation Scripture: 1 Corinthians 3:1. We are servants for God’s Kingdom totally dependent on God to empower and anoint us to increase His Kingdom.  We plant and Water and God does the rest.

Plant and Water:
  • Use your abilities/talents to encourage and bless someone.
    • Pray, encouraging word, help someone, etc…
  • Paul emphasizes our limited mortal bandwidth as he says there is someone who plants and someone who waters as we work together for one purpose. No one person has all of the spiritual gifts as Jesus did, we all serve the Kingdom in different ways. We were created with limits, but God knows none.
  • Planting and Watering requires us to say ‘yes’ and ‘AMEN’.
  • Before we can plant and water for God’s Kingdom, we must be a ‘yes’ to ‘even if faith’ and ‘yes’ to surrendering to God’s will.
    • Even if Faith
    • Surrendering to God’s will

  • But once we have decided that we are a ‘yes’, we will see some amazing signs and wonders, amazing supernatural things in God’s perfect timing.
    • The signs and wonders are not for our selfish benefit, it is for God’s Kingdom.
    • You will see the hand of God move on your behalf to benefit God’s Kingdom.

Pastor’s Thoughts:
  • When we sacrifice in helping others, regardless of our situation, we find joy and peace because that is why God created us.
  • We are created to serve the Kingdom of God.
  • Serving anything else will lead to emptiness and hopelessness.
    • Jesus is the hope of the World.

Do not be Weary Just Keep Planting and Watering:
Galatians 6:9. Do not be weary in doing well.  In due season you will reap blessings if we faint not (don’t give up)

Example of Signs and Wonders:
  • The Land Donation miracle

Summary:
  • The Big Picture belongs to God but in the short term we just plant and water and trust God.
  • Focus on what you can control.  Plant and Water and Trust God for the miracles.
  • God created us and He Loves us.
  • Leave for him and you will find true rest.
