Foundation Scripture: Romans 8:37. We are more than conquerors, THRU HIM, JESUS.
Scripture on Victory:
1 Corinthians 15:57. The victory comes through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pastor’s Thoughts:
- Last week we learned about trusting the journey. Jesus trusted the journey and the victory came.
- The victory was not avoiding a physical death, it was trusting and serving God throughout the journey.
- During the journey, Jesus served and taught the disciples the importance of serving and loving others.
- Serving and loving others is greatness in God’s Kingdom.
- The victory is not the circumstance/burden being solved, it is who you served during the journey, who you trusted.
- A victory comes when you see God doing his good work through a trial.
- Victory is not a stress-free life. It is who you serve during the journey.
Biblical example of the Victory:
Daniel in the lion’s den. Daniel 6:16-28.
- Was the victory that Daniel was not eaten by the lion?
- No, it was that Daniel trusted and served God faithfully through the journey.
- The lion being tamed was to show the rest of the world that God has authority and Power over all things. The lion was not tamed to save Daniels physical body it was to bring Glory to God’s Kingdom.
- No, it was that Daniel trusted and served God faithfully through the journey.
Pastor’s Thoughts:
- Sometimes physical death or a hard trial comes our way, but our joy and victory doesn’t come from what we see in this world it comes because we trust and serve the King of Kings regardless of circumstances.
- Luke 10:20. Don’t rejoice because demons are subject to you, rather rejoice that your name is written in the lamb’s book of life.
- God will change transform trials and circumstances as we pray for God to intervene, but the victory is not the trial or burden being lifted or solved, it is who you served and trusted during the journey.
Summary:
- We are servants to God’s Kingdom
- A victory is not the trial or burden being lifted or solved, it is who you served and trusted during the journey.
- Jesus is our example on how to trust the journey regardless of circumstances.
