Wait Upon the Lord: Part 2

Main Point.  Those who wait upon the Lord and trust, rely, and expect God to intervene will see the hand of God intervene on their behalf with.

Scripture about waiting on the Lord:

• Isaiah 40:31. Those that wait upon the Lord will renew their strength.
• Lamentations 3:25-26.  The Lord is good to those that wait for him.
• Psalm 40:1-4.  God hears the patient.  God will set your feet upon a solid rock and bring you joy.

Waiting on the Lord is not a negative:

• It is a joy to wait upon the Lord because we are going to see God’s supernatural hand move for his children and his church.
• Waiting on the Lord with thanksgiving in our heart is an act of Faith.  (Gratitude brings joy)

What to do during a season of waiting upon the Lord

• Luke 10:38-42.  Sit at Jesus feet (The Secret Place is where you know God)
• Genesis 39:19-23.  Make the best of the situation you are in.  (like the story of Joseph)
• Luke 10: 20.  Rejoice that your name is written in the lambs book of life (keep it simple).
• 1 Kings 18:41-46. Expect a victory ahead.  (A cloud in the distance-An abundance of rain)

Summary:
