Glory to King Jesus

Main Point:  The church is to bring Glory to King Jesus forever and ever.  The results of Glorifying God in our lives is joy, love, peace, and confidence in who we are in Christ Jesus.

Foundation Scripture:  Ephesians 3:20-21.  The church is to bring Glory to God by Christ Jesus forever and ever.

Definitions of Glory:

• Deserving of High Praise
• Beauty, Majesty,
• High honor
• Divine Excellence
• Overall Awesome, Majestic and Righteous

Pastor’s Thoughts:

• If God is in it.  It brings Glory to the Kingdom of God.
• If God is Lord of your life, your life will bring Glory to God.
• Which is amazing since we are flawed instruments yet called to be ambassadors of God’s Glory

What happens when God is glorified by Christ Jesus? 

• God’s presence by the Holy Spirit becomes tangible among men
  • People are Redeemed, healed, delivered, etc..
  • Emotions are healed: People experience joy, peace, and hope
  • Fears vanish: People feel less afraid
  • Relationships are restored: People's relationships improve
  • Faith flourishes: People's faith in God grows
  • Love grows: People experience more love
  • God wants to share his Glory with us

Romans 8:17. As children of God we share in both suffering and in His Glory.

• We are heirs to God’s Glory.
• He is worthy to be Praised

The Big Picture:  King Jesus will be praised.

• God created a plan to redeem mankind through the sacrifice of his sinless son, Jesus Christ.
• We are guided by the Holy Spirit to give Glory and Praise to King Jesus.
  • This activates the presence and Glory of God through God the Holy Spirit
  • In the loving Presence of God, we are transformed
    • Faith increases-
    • Clarity in your calling increases
    • Confidence in your purpose in life increases
    • Supernatural increases (Healing, finances, Deliverance, etc…)
    • Joy and Peace increases

Summary:

• We give Glory to King Jesus because He is worthy.
• We give Glory to King Jesus because we love him.
• The results of Giving King Jesus all Praise and Glory is a life of joy and peace because we know who we are in Christ Jesus.  Heirs to the Kingdom of God forever.
• The 2nd temple was not as physically awesome, but the Glory of God in the temple only gets better and better through us.  We are the temple.  To God be the Glory.
