Main Point: Trust the Journey knowing that God is leading us to Kingdom good.

Matthew 22:40-43. Jesus did not want the trial but trusted the journey from the Father to bring about Kingdom good.

- No better example: our Lord came to earth to do the will of the Father regardless of trials and human pain.
Focus on loving and serving others, not the rewards.
- Mark 10: 35-45.
- V37. James and John ask to be recognized in a high place in the Glory of King Jesus.
- V38. Jesus tell the 2 disciples that they do not realize what they are asking. The sacrifice required to be lifted up in God’s Kingdom is to die of your will and trust the journey.
- V39. Though James and John did not realize it, Jesus prophesied that they would be martyred.
- V42-45. Greatness in God’s Kingdom is those that minister and serve others.
Pastor’s thought:
- The more time you spend in your secret place with God, the more passion your spirit will have to love and serve others.
What happens when you trust the journey?
- What seems dead arises to life (God turns things around as needed on the journey-dry bones arise)
- Mark 16:14-18. Signs and wonder will follow believers thrusting the journey
- Matthew 6:33. Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness and all you need to accomplish God’s plan for your life will be done.
