True Worship pt2

Main Point:  King Jesus will be praised because God is good and faithful.  Our praise to God looks like genuine prayer, worship, and giving.  True worship looks like surrender, sacrifice, and service.

Foundation Scripture:  John 4:23-24.  True worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth.  God seeks true hearts that are genuine in worshipping Him.
What does true worship look like?

• Surrender
• Sacrifice
• Service

 
Surrender

• Biblical surrender is the willingness to totally yield our own will, desires, and control to God's authority,
  • Viewing it, not as defeat but as courageous trust and obedience to His perfect plan.
• Luke 9:23-24. Deny self and follow Jesus regardless of trials and tribulations.
• Galatians 2:20. It is not our life to live.  We surrender our life for the cause of the Gospel.
• Surrender in one statement:  My life is yours.

Sacrifice

• Biblical Sacrifice is giving something valuable to God as an act of worship, atonement, or thanksgiving.
  • Your time in the secret place, at bible study, serving others, fasting and praying. Etc.
• Romans 12:1. Dedicate yourself completely to Godly Kingdom things.  This is an act of worship.
• Sacrifice in one statement:  Whatever it takes for the Kingdom.

 
Service

• Biblically, service means a loving unselfish action toward God and others, rooted in humility and selflessness, extending beyond mere duty to become a way of life.
• Matthew 25:35-40.  Serving others is Worshipping God.
• 1 Peter 4:10. Serving others is being a good steward of God’s grace toward you
• Service in one statement:  I love to serve others because Jesus first loved me.

 
Pastor’s Thoughts

• When people worship with a genuine heart, God will show himself strong through them.
• God will reward true worshippers with an overflow.
  • The overflow of God’s blessing is what happens when God’s people surrender, sacrifice, and serve.

 
Conclusion:

• True Worship is not visible with the human eye; it is a spiritual matter.
• True worship looks like surrender, sacrifice, and service
• In 2026, pray more, worship more (more surrender, sacrifice and service), and give more
